HeyYa Rentals Launches in Victoria with Street-Legal Electric Cart Rentals Canada’s Coolest Carts Arrive Downtown Just in Time for Summer
Victoria, BC, May 12, 2025 – HeyYa Rentals Inc., Canada’s first street-legal golf cart rental company, is now open in Victoria, bringing a bold, electric twist to local tourism and urban transportation.
Launching today with five fully electric carts, HeyYa Rentals will have 15 carts on the road in Victoria by the end of May. The company offers a fresh and sustainable way to explore the city. All vehicles are made in British Columbia, approved by Transport Canada, and insured by ICBC. They are fully legal for street use in Victoria, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, and designated parts of Saanich. For simplicity and ease of navigation, guests are encouraged to stay south of Fort Street and Cadboro Bay Road (or south of Bay Street in the downtown core).

These aren’t your typical golf carts. They’re fully upgraded for the road and built for fun, safety, and comfort. Each one includes:
- Apple CarPlay & Android Auto for seamless navigation and entertainment
- Integrated sound system, seatbelts, a backup camera, and turn signals
- Seating for 4 to 8 passengers
- A top speed of 40 km/h
- Optional add-ons like picnic boxes and collision damage waiver (CDW)
- Bookings are now live at www.heyya.ca. The Victoria pickup location is at the View Street Parkade – 743 View Street – conveniently located in the downtown core just a few blocks from the waterfront and major tourist arrivals.
