Why organizers choose HeyYa

Less logistical friction. More done.

A cart rental should make your job easier, not create another set of problems. These are the details that distinguish HeyYa from an ordinary golf-cart rental. Each one notes which vehicles it applies to.

$10M

Third-party liability per vehicle

  • ICBC insured
  • Registered & plated
  • Not an unregistered golf cart

Insurance your risk team can take seriously. Every HeyYa road-legal vehicle carries $10 million in third-party liability coverage under ICBC. Coverage is subject to policy terms, permitted uses and driver eligibility.

Reach the places bigger vehicles can't

Every HeyYa cart is less than 4 feet wide and less than 6 feet 6 inches tall. That compact size makes staging and moving through tight event sites, service areas and access routes easier. For narrow openings, confirm the exact vehicle dimensions, mirrors, turns and safe clearance.

Maximum range on select models

Spend more time working, less time charging. Range depends on model, passengers, terrain and conditions, and smaller ranges apply to other passenger configurations.

A regular electrical outlet

No special charging station needed. Recharge from a standard, appropriately rated grounded 120-volt outlet. Short top-ups fit into a workday; plan several hours, approximately seven for a typical full recharge, depending on the cart and battery state.

On legally permitted public roads

Passenger seating options

Match the number of seats and carts to the people and distances involved, without running full-size vans back and forth.

Passenger fleet

Range and operating figures vary by model, loading and conditions. All HeyYa carts are under 4 feet wide and under 6 feet 6 inches tall, although exact sizes vary. Confirm safe clearance before planning a tight access route. Street use, off-road use, load capacities and coverage depend on applicable rules and policy terms.

The right-sized fleet

Move people without overcomplicating the plan.

Choose four-, six- and eight-seat passenger vehicles and match the number of carts to the people and distances involved. Their compact footprint makes staging simpler and helps staff get where they need to be without running full-size vans back and forth.

We deliver throughout British Columbia for special events, film productions and commercial rentals, with collection arranged at the end of the booking. Delivery costs and timing depend on location, vehicle quantity and advance notice. Our team can also help plan:

Move supplies, not just people

A 4 × 6-foot flatdeck that earns its place on site.

Our purpose-built electric flatdeck provides a full 4-foot by 6-foot load platform, roughly the floor area of a pickup-truck bed, in a compact vehicle suited to frequent on-site runs. It's ideal for moving supplies, equipment and event materials between staging areas when a full-size pickup is more vehicle than you need.

It can also tow a small, compatible trailer. We'll confirm permitted loads, towing capacity, vehicle suitability, charging and delivery arrangements for your specific job.

Common questions

The practical details.

Your venue's access rules, operator requirements and actual vehicle assignments can all affect the final plan. We check them before confirming a commercial rental.

How is a HeyYa cart different from an ordinary golf cart?

HeyYa's street-legal carts are registered and plated low-speed electric vehicles, with vehicle equipment required for eligible road use, ICBC insurance and $10 million in third-party liability coverage on each vehicle. Their permitted use and insured operation still depend on applicable rules and policy terms.

Do you deliver outside Vancouver and Victoria?

Yes. We deliver HeyYa carts to event venues, film sets and worksites throughout British Columbia, including locations beyond our Vancouver and Victoria hubs. Delivery and collection are quoted for each booking based on distance, cart quantity, dates and transport logistics. Contact us with your site location and schedule.

Can we operate on public roads as well as at our event?

Our low-speed vehicles can travel at up to 40 km/h on public roads where this class of vehicle is permitted. The applicable road restrictions, municipal permissions and licensed-driver requirements must be respected. An event road closure or private venue does not automatically authorize any use.

Can you set a different speed for our site?

We can discuss changing the configured governor setting for an approved, controlled private-site operation. Any adjustment must be compatible with the specific vehicle, applicable rules, permitted use and insurance. Road use always remains subject to the vehicle's legal 40 km/h limit.

Can they charge from an ordinary outlet?

Yes. Our electric passenger carts use a standard, appropriately rated 120-volt electrical connection. Charging time varies; allow several hours for a full recharge and confirm the arrangements for your deployment.

Can you provide a driver or run a public passenger shuttle?

A self-drive rental does not automatically authorize a paid driver-guided tour or passenger shuttle. Driver-provided transportation may require separate licences, insurance and approvals, and is not included unless specifically agreed and legally authorized.

Do the carts fit through a four-foot-wide opening?

All HeyYa carts are less than 4 feet wide and less than 6 feet 6 inches tall. That makes them useful in tighter spaces, but a nominal four-foot opening does not automatically provide safe clearance. Exact dimensions, mirrors, turning radius, surface conditions and safety margins still need to be checked for your site.
