A day with your favourite people
Start with a favourite café, turn sightseeing into a shared activity, then let the group pick a few unexpected stops. Nobody has to split between multiple cars. The ride itself becomes part of the story.
A HeyYa cart is an invitation to spend more time together. Whether you're celebrating something, showing off your city or simply doing something different, the adventure starts with who you bring along.
Find your cart
Need a little inspiration? Here are eight good reasons to gather your people and go somewhere.

Start with a favourite café, turn sightseeing into a shared activity, then let the group pick a few unexpected stops. Nobody has to split between multiple cars. The ride itself becomes part of the story.

Keep the group together while exploring neighbourhoods and waterfront views. An open-air cart can make the day more engaging than shuttling between taxi rides, especially for multigenerational visits.

Trade an ordinary drive for an easygoing afternoon: a scenic stretch of city streets, a bakery or ice cream stop, a waterfront view and time together without rushing from one booking to another.

Have limited time ashore? Explore the city independently, with a plan built around the ship's departure and your return requirements. Cruise terminal pickup or delivery is location- and availability-dependent.

Bring someone from out of town and show them the neighbourhoods you actually love: streets with personality, great food, hidden corners and the view you would normally skip because it is just a bit too far to walk.

Birthdays, anniversaries, visiting friends or a family reunion all deserve something different. Choose a cart that fits the crew and keep the experience social from beginning to end.

For guests who prefer shorter walks between stops, a self-drive cart may reduce the amount of ground covered on foot. These are not wheelchair-accessible vehicles, and drivers and passengers must be able to board and ride safely.

No elaborate itinerary required. Choose your dates, find a cart and give yourself permission to explore. Stop for a view, discover a shop, head to a different neighbourhood, then make it back by your rental return time.

Vancouver is full of well-known sights and smaller discoveries. A HeyYa afternoon could mean ocean views, a neighbourhood lunch, a park-road loop or simply showing visiting friends the city you know.
From the Bentall Centre area, plan around official operating boundaries and legal roads. The seawall, bike lanes and pedestrian paths are never cart routes.

Combine big-city sights and coastal air. The best stops might be a harbour lookout, a coffee near the water or a new favourite restaurant. Keep the route on streets where the vehicle is permitted.
A classic Vancouver experience
A drive through permitted Stanley Park roads is a completely different experience from walking the seawall. Stop only in lawful parking areas and leave the beaches, trails, paths and seawall to people on foot or bicycles.
Food, history and discoveries
Discover storefronts, architecture, cafés and shops around downtown. Some streets are restricted, and a compact cart does not override road closures or pedestrian-only zones.

Victoria invites a slower pace. The Inner Harbour, charming streets and coastal scenery reward people who leave a little room in the itinerary for stops that catch their eye.
Choose a practical rental duration, check which pickup locations are available and follow Victoria's permitted operating area. Self-guided means you set the pace, not that every road is open to low-speed vehicles.

Make a visit to the downtown waterfront part of a larger day. Explore the buildings and shops, stop for an ice cream or café break and keep the schedule flexible.
Water views and neighbourhood character
Victoria and Oak Bay have beautiful coastal surroundings and streets with plenty of character. Plan around permitted city roads; certain districts and corridors remain out of bounds.
More of Victoria, less logistical fuss
If you are visiting on a ship, work backward from the boarding deadline and confirm the pickup and return arrangement. With limited time, a handful of memorable stops can beat an overstuffed itinerary.
Every great adventure starts with the basics: eligibility, permitted roads, a charging plan for longer rentals, and enough time to return.
Public rental drivers must meet HeyYa's minimum age requirements and carry the required valid driving licence and payment card.
Driver FAQs ↗Carts are road vehicles, not park or bike-path vehicles. City-specific restrictions, posted signs and rental conditions always apply.
Where you can drive ↗Build in time for café stops, sightseeing, return instructions and parking. When arriving by cruise ship, check your all-aboard time first.
